A tak-sedar-diri-byk-keje day!

Its 1.34am now and I'm in school STILL finishing the report. Sheesh! I really suck at translating English to BM and vice versa. The fact that right now, I haven't slept for exactly 43 hours doesn't actually help that much does it. I've already consumed 5 tins of Nescafe Latte and about to take my next dose of it if someone doesn't stop me at once!

Anyway, I admit, it might me a tad bit my own fault. I had promised Ad and Yee to go to the IPS Exhibition in Penang and take the 1st shift there. We had planned to go to Gurney after that (and this was waaaay before I knew about the report) and somehow, I still didn't wanna miss it..

So there I was.. I had stayed in school until 6.30am and only went home after Subuh prayers. Then I got ready before going out to pick up Ad and Yee and go to Penang for the exhibition. I was already a bit sleepy now but Aje came to cheer me up with his usual jokes.

Oh yeah, something unusual DID happen which left me, Ad and Yee confused.. and laughing our heads off. This 'incident' delayed our initial plan of going to Gurney right after our shift ended (1.00pm) and we only started our journey there around 2.30pm.

During that incident, we went to Chowrasta. Otw there, Ad noticed something.. apparently, public phones are still in fashion. Seems the MPPP decided to spruce up public phones and the telephone booths. I had tried to capture it on my phone but there we too many cars here. But I think you can see the kindergarten-colorful phones in the booth decorated with some sort of design here.. on second thought, am I the only one who found this fascinating?

Anyway, when we arrived at Chowrasta, I felt this great big sense of deja vu and suddenly saw myself, Misa and Amoi going around the shops here in search of old issues of Dragon Ball comics. Here, we bought them at RM2 per book.. quite a bargain, huh? Especially for us then school goers. Ami was the one who told me about these second hand book stores when she bought boxes of the Sweet Dreams series (also sold at RM2 per book). After that, whenever we went out, we were sure to come here in search for books. My friend As once even hunted for the medical handbook (?) here and suprises of suprises, they had a good copy (just like brand new.. honest!!) for her. I couldn't resist sending Misa a picture of one of our favourite stores there..

..then there was the magazine stand where we almost always bought our Dragon Ball, Dragon Quest, Yuyu Hakusho, Slam Dunk bla bla.. I sent a picture to both Amoi and Misa and both instantly recognized the magazine stand..

..but when Misa comented on how much she missed Maxim's sandwiches, I really laughed out loud. Just merely 5 minutes before her sms, I had just told Ad and Yee that Maxim's was our favourite bakery back then hehe.. Misa, awak mesti ingat kan, sebelum balik je, meluru kite gi Maxim's beli sandwich ngan bruchetta! Tapi tadi tak sempat la nak singgah.. :(

Anyway, fast forward to Gurney. We arrived around 3.30pm and quickly grabbed some lunch. Then I went to buy my facila cleanser and ended up buying the Total Turnaround as well. Lame giler dah tak pakai bende ni. Check out what else I received for my purchase hehe..

Then, as usual I got the vouchers and I bought this..

..for my bracelets and bangles! Yeay! I already had one before, bought at Lovely Lace..

..but it couldn't hold all my bracelets, thus this second purchase. The price on the tag was RM56.90 but I only paid RM1.20 heheh..

Before heading back here, we went donut hunting and THIS, dear readers, WAS my dinner (Half-eaten Aline there!). Now all are safely in my tummy, except for three quarters of the pinky one there :D

P/S
I actually have THREE classes tomorrow. 9.30-11.00am, 11.15 to 12.45pm and 5.15 to 6.45pm. Hmm, wondering if I'd be able to stay awake during teaching?!?! Or should I take a couple more doses of Nescafe, Dr Ina?

&*%#&!@

You know one thing I know I'd hate: People telling me they hate me..

You know another thing that I hate on a similar level: Telling people I hate them!

So it bugs me when I've tried to as politely as possible to say, "Actually, I despise you" with sugar coated words (sprinkled with a bit of pepper and horn salt* perhaps?!!?) AND to have that person say ,"Sorry, it won't happen again" causing me in to be in this false sense of relief for a few hours before they bug me to make me tell them I HATE THEM (or in this case, I HATE YOU!) again.

For God's sake, you don't expect my answer to different everytime you ask me the EXACT SAME QUESTION do you?!?! AND STOP forcing me to hate you even more!!!

My friend, Dzul recently had an entry in his blog. The title made me laugh at that time but I now realize, he is better at putting things into words as he had sum-up all my words here in two simple words:

Berambus boley?!!?

And dude, piss off will ya!

P/S Horn salt is a Norweigan type of salt. I think its similar to the smelling salt people use to revive people from faints

Still can't believe how I was tricked into being an MC

A few weeks ago, we had this meeting to choose the committees for our Stress Management Workshop. I don't mind giving a hand in these committee but..

You see, for the past 3 years, I've always been in the food committee (coz I'm chubby perhaps?!) or the souvenier committee. I've grown quite sick of being in these two committee because eventhough they sound like 'easy jobs', they are actually the ones with the most small-details-you-can't-afford-to-miss.

In fact, two years ago we had this Thesis Writing Workshop and I had voiced my need to NOT be in the food committee. Remy had asked me why, to him its an easy job. Ye laaa, Remy had always been the leader, never one in the smaller committees so I guess he doesn't know the hassle of being in these small committees. Not that he's not a good leader, he's a GREAT one, in fact. This was proved by his willingness to be in the smaller committess instead, thus choosing the food committee along with Erwan.

The workshop was only for a day and I laughed out loud when I saw Remy and Erwan 'passed out' on the post grad sofa after lunch. Amik korang, tau pun bende tu penat hahah.. w/pun name nye AJK makanan, cam senang, tapi bende kecik² tu banyak kene jage. But I still pitied them for their first attempt in the konon² girly committee when the food for lunch was not enough and they had to go out and buy some. They thought they didn't have to supervise the food during the breaks when I told them, THAT was one of the small things they had to do. As a result, the foreigners took more lauk than they could eat, wasting it in the end la kannnn.. sape nak makan lebih diorg! Sakit ati tul!

Anyway, we had a good laugh about it haha.. and never again did anyone try to force me to be in the food committee. Instead, everyone took turns.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago, when abg Fadzil had asked who'd volunteer to be in the food committee, I just looked away. Even when he asked about the souveniers jugak Ayu buat tatau.. alasan: Ayu nak keje mencabar skit hahah! Kunun la kaaaannn.. in the end, Irnis and Dayah was in the food committee while Ad and Yee was in charge of the souveniers.

I asked to be in the registration committee but abg Fadzil said: "Hang tak cukup lawa!" Cehhhhh..

Near the end of the meeting, we remembered we still didn't have an MC.

Intruder alert! Intruder alert!

I had a horrid suprise this morning.. one I hope to NEVER encounter again.

Last night, as obvious from my entry, I stayed at school after eating the yummy burger. Had a few small things to do regarding our Stress Management Workshop next week AND had a round of games to play hahah..

It was only at 12.21am did I realize the time so I rushed back home, not wanting to miss the midnite movie TV3 seems to be playing every week now. This month is the Rocky special so yesterday (or more like this morning) was Rocky IV. I'm not actually a fan of Stallone but I've never seen these movies and since I don't have anything better to do on weekends, I usually plonk myself in front of the tv for any movie they play for the night.

It was around 2.30am that the movie ended to I went to take my pre-sleep wudhu and got ready for bed. After reciting the usual surahs and ayats I do before sleep, I managed to get into dreamland without the hassle of tossing and turning. But I DID mumble to myself when I realized my 'beloved' neighbour had left their porch lights on, thus making my bedroom very 'bright' indeed. This annoyed me a bit as I love it pitch dark when sleeping. Still, being very sleepy, I just went to bed.

Suddenly I was awaken by a knocking sound. At that time, I was sure it was the sound of knocking on the window pane but now I'm not sure what. I grabbed the clock at my bedside and noticed it was 3.35am. Thinking I had heard one of the local tomcats, I drifted off to sleep in no time. A few minutes later I was awoken again by the same sound. Feeling a bit annoyed (especially when I remembered how the dogs outside my house had made quite a ruckus earlier), I went up to the window just outside my bedroom and started to open it..

..and I screamed!

There, just outside my bedroom window was a face looking right at me, with hands on my window pane. It actually helped that my neighbours had switched on the light but in my haste to slam the window panes shut, I only managed to see a bespectacled chubby and fair face (which when I try my darnest to remember now, I keep seeing a caucasian version of Ultraman.. WITH the mask on!)

When I peeked into the living room (which is next to my bedroom), I noticed the same face looking through the missing window pane and I freaked out.

My heart was pounding as I grabbed my phone and rushed to the middle room of the house and I stood there clutching my phone, my mind blank not knowing what to do next. I couldn't even think of WHO I could call at this time and I ended up sending smses to Ad, Puga and Sharil, hoping one of them would reply so I could call back (The bangang me was afraid of waking them up! Mangkuk punye Ayu!! Of course la pagi ni kene 'marah' with them sebab bleh fikir takmo kaco diorg tido in an emergency camtu..)

And of course la jugak, takde sape bgn if you sms je kan.. unless la tone for the sms tu nyaring and panjang giler, OR if it sounds like your alarm clock. It was only after a few minutes, after I calmed down a bit (Calm down pun, jantung cam nak terkeluar jugak.. I felt as if the intruder could hear my heart beat!) that I thought of dialing 999.

I couldn't even speak, I was almost in tears and my voice was so shaky, I couldn't recognize it but the operator was very patient and helped connect me to the nearest police station. By then, the intruder must've cabut la already kan.

The police officer called me as they headed towards my house and I guess he sensed the panic in me so he stayed on the line until they were in front of my house. After checking around, finding no one (Suprise!!), I went out to them to give the report. They were very kind and it helped to clear my mind a bit. I was a bit afraid if they thought it was a crank call since the intruder had fled but the pak cik police assured me he understood that maybe the intruder had ran away.

I didn't know if I was relieved (That it proves I wasn't doing a crank call) or more horrified (That there actually WAS an intruder) when we found the fingerprints of the person on my dusty window pane. When they asked me to describe the person, it took my whole will to not say "fair looking Ultraman with a mask as his actual face".

After triple checking, the officers asked me to go inside and lock all doors. I didn't sleep in my room after that but just stayed in the middle room of my house, willing the morning to come as quickly as possible. I even locked the middle room.. just in case!

Around 6.30am, I was brave enough to go outta the room. Besides, I had to perform my Subuh prayers. After I had finished, I noticed that it was already dawn so I bravely ventured outside. I didn't notice if the intruder took anything but there was a suspiscious puddle of I-dunno-what near the front tyres of my car. And from the looks of it, it was poured or something.. you know the small splatters of liquid you get when you pour something? THAT was what was around the puddle.

Now that its broad daylight, I feel a bit brave.

Three things bug me though..
1. Why was the intruder knocking on my window, as if intentionally wanting to wake me up?
2. Why was the light of my neighbours porch turned off when the police had arrived? You'd think they heard me scream or something but their house was very quiet when the police tried to peer inside their compound.
3. Why didn't I hear the sound of a car or motorcycle (if the inturder fled in it) while waiitng for the police to arrive?

I am sooo not looking forward to nightfall!

P/S
I am VERY, VERY, VERY grateful to Yee. After her incident with the P******** (why is it that we have problems with the foreigners here?), she had bought me and Ad some pepper sprays. Being the berlagak me, I had kept mine at school, sure that I won't need it but right now, I'm taking it everywhere I go!
