This is ridiculous.. dah seminggu dah ni! Damn you pacat!!

*This entry tiade gambo yg gross² but what I wanna say might be a tad bit yucky to some*

Around 8~9 days ago, half the school was attacked by those lil bloodsuckers!

Okay, tu ayat drama lebey.. tak la mcm kene attack sungguh-sungguhan but since the whole 1st year batch plus a few staff and postgrads were doing some jungle tracking, memang ramai la kene gigit pacat kan. I don't think anyone was spared.

Anyway, tho I hate Mr K, I don't really mind these lil Miss Pacats. Maybe coz Miss Ps were abundant in my childhood tiap kali balik kampung so tho I'd rather not meet one, I'm not afraid of them. In fact, most of the time if I realized they've already started 'feasting' on my blood, I'd just let them be. Klau yg masih mencari² port nak isap darah tu, I cabut laaa..

It happened that I gave quite a kenduri to the lil Miss Ps and had 'punctures' all over my legs, with two of the largest (yg jadik cam port paling femes coz other lil Miss Ps kept berulang alik going back there everytime I checked my legs to find any pacat) that did not stop bleeding even on Monday afternoon (we went on the jugle track on Sunday morning).

Not that I minded much, except for the itchiness that came with it. Its usually okay after a day so I didn't do anything except wash the 'wounds'.

But everyday it became more itchy for me to the stage that I couldn't sleep at night, dealing with it. Then a few days ago, almost all wounds started to get swollen and reddish while the itchinees turned to real pain.

I was a bit suprised at this since I usually get over a Miss P bite quite quickly but this was getting ridiculous.

Then last night, it was the height of itchinees for me. I couldn't sleep a wink and before that, I was busy scratching (not using fingernails) through my jeans to ease the feeling during my class. This moning, I realized one of the largest wounds had pus in it and this made me realized, I might have become allergic to these pest over the years sbb dah lame tak kene gigit pacat kan.

All pictures have been edited hahah.. and since my phone pun idak le canggih the manggih so tak nmpk sgt kot but I can assure it, memang merah and purple mcm lebam giler dah rupe dia.. macam kene dera.

If you can see, amidst the redness, theres this not-so-tiny black spots where the Miss Ps telah puncture.. gatal hokey! Berlubang pun ye bile diusik.. =(

These are the 4 tiniest wounds, di pacat² yang tak dpt makan bnyk sbb tersorok under my socks kot time tu hahah..
Anyway, went to the clinic and was told I might have a severe allergic reaction to these bloodsuckers.. pulakkkk! Sebelum ni ok je.. I was given some meds (ye, sy tau sy ngade tp nak buh gak kat sini =p)

Two creams tau.. one to put on the puncture and the other to rub onto the swollen parts of the bite. The one for the puncture kate Yee same with ubat untuk kene Charlie! Then I got some antibiotics and ubat gatal a.k.a ubat tidur sy mase sekolah menengah.. opppsss!

The doctor told me to come back if those meds didn't work and I'm still baffled on why kali ni sy tak tahan wpun selame membesar, dah tak terkire je pun kene pacat and tak penah pun jadik camni. Maybe its like what I said to Jaja: Ni pacat utan, liar skit! Tu yg gatal melampau.. klau kat kebun Abah tu, pacat jinak heheh..

Finally.. my big 3-0 birthday entry ☺

Bak kate Nomi, this is my 'entry wajib' everytime my birthday comes around hehe..

Usually, I'd list down all the well-wishers in my blog as a token of my appreciation.. cehh! Mcm la blog ni bagus sgt kan.. bes abis la tu klau name tersenarai haha.. But taking a leaf outta last years book, I decided against it. This is because, last year I seemed to miss out so many names and was constantly editing the said entry to add all other names I forgot. Malu okay, being reminded that you've forgotten someone haha..

So this year, I'll just talk about my birthday.. boley?

*Sgt narcisstic je bunyi nye haha..*

It started with me being kidnapped by my neighbours the night before. Salleh kept asking me what time I finished my class and I just thought they wanted to go for some late supper. I became a bit suspicious when I realized their whole house was going out too.. alamak! Nak ngenekan ape plak ni diorg nih?

I rode with Rashid and was relieved when he said he wanted to pick up Ija, Anim and Jaja. We arrived at Anisani and waited for Salleh, Dayah and Arif to arrive. Sementara to, we looked through the menu for something to eat la kan.. lapo la jugak..

When they arrived, Dayah came bearing a cake.. tadaaa.. my 1st cake for the start of my 4th decade in this world (NO! I'm NOT 40 laaa.. I said start of my 4th decade.. I'll only be 40 at the start of my 5th decade kaaannn.. ramai yg konpius hehe..)

Chumel!! Suke! Then Sepul (who had a lighter in his pocket) was in charge of lighting the candles..

..and I was told to blow the candles.. with a wish la.. not less! :) Wanna know what I wished for? Heheh..

Then it was the 'cutting-the-cake-stage'. Sayang woo nak bukak those cute colourful candles..

And here's me with the one responsible for my 1st cake :)

After that, bermula lah sesi makan for us yg sedikit la lapo jugak..

Then here's me with my neighbours (well, part of them la..)

And here's me with my 'adik²' who made me smile that night :):):)

The next morning, I came to school and was greeted by another 'cake' by Irnis.. chumel kan this hand towel :)

Then that noon, Remy came for his promise to belanja us. Little did I know, he also bought a cake with him.. yeayyy!

So here's us waiting for Salleh and the gang. Ternampak persamaan muke Irnis ngan Rahim here kan :)

Then here's us when Salleh and the gang dah sampai..

..and another angle of our long table. Abis la remy kene banjer ramai orang hehe..

Then I got to see what my cake was.. Yippee! Choc Indulgence.. my fav!!

And another 'tiup lilin' experience with the same wish heheh..

Semua org tersandar kekenyangan after an hour of feasting hehe.. thanx to Remy. As we started to head back to school, abg Azahar called with another cake to give me :) But since we were all full, this cake was decided to be cut in school..

See, the birthday girl has to put her own candles on the cake hehe..

And here's the cake.. yummy!

Another photo before cutting the cake.. and wishing the same wish whilst blowing the candles ;)

Seriously, sgt kenyang ok.. and I was thinking of not eating any cake for at least a month.. but..

Petang tu suprise from Shahril pulak :) My favourite choc cake made by him.. yeayy! And his signature pulut kuning with chicken curry yg seriously sedap. Sgt lembut the pulut with just the right taste coupled with thick chicken curry yg mmm-mmm.. all my favourites! Sampaikan hadiah² yg dibwkkan sekali pun diabaikan seketika while I drooled over the food :)

Like I said in my FB status at the end of that day: Perfect ending to a perfect day ☺☻☺

But as I've raved in my blog haha.. it didn't end there! I got another two suprises from my students in Jawi..

..and my students in Pt Buntar!

Gosh! Who would've thought turning 30 would be so much fun kannnn heheh..

So to everyone who wished me a happy birthday: Thank you for making my day so special! Love you guys sooooooo much and I wish for the same great birthday to all of you when its your turn to celebrate coz I REALLY enjoyed myself :)

Quick cupcake update

Just a quick update.. more pictures than writings.

Last week, Mas asked me to make come cupcakes for Dr Fauziah, her dear 'mummy' in school here, kan Mas ☺ I don't really take orders since I'm still not confident but since I had time on my hands, plus I had the insomnia problem, I thought I'd give it a try.

Still, takkan nak buat balloon² or clown² kot kan utk Dr Fauziah kan? Dekat one hour jugak la nak pk what kinda design I should do (sib baik insomniac kan haha..) and in the end just decided to do simple rosettes..

..but I found out my rossette skills dah berkarat upenye haha! Mase awal² dulu I kept making rossettes sampai boring kan so dah lame tak buat. And since I didn't want it to turn sgt la tak nmpk like rose, I decided to alternate with a simple design I've been meaning to try.

So happy birthday to Dr Fauziah.. though I konpem tak berani nak tanye umor dia kan hehe..

Then on Thursday, my students contacted me via sms pun ade, FB pun ade informing of the birthday of one student the next day when we had class. At first I decided to just give him a birthday card sbb seryes rase tak sempat nak buat cakes. Then the next day I checked my 'inventory' and realized, I had all the stuff I needed so kelas kul 8.15pm but 4.30pm baru nak start buat hahah.. agak la kelab kabut but thank God I managed..

Also designs I've been meaning to try.. not designs la.. pernah je buat smiley ni but wanted to do colourful ones instead of the usual yellow ones so tadaa..

Agak la jugak mau gelak when Helmi termalu² bile presented with the cakes haha.. so to him jugak, Happy birthday yaaaa.. ☺

*Update*

Just wanted to share some things to friends who read my entry on the accident of my fellow student. These links were shared by Azam, a new PhD student from UTM. He was in the same postgrad room as arwah Falah and all of them were quite close..

Iraqi national pursuing PhD claims he doesn’t understand English or BM ~ The Star Online

Iraqi doctorate student charged with reckless driving ~ The Star online

Penuntut warga Iraq didakwa memandu secara berbahaya ~ Utusan Online

What the hell?!?!

actually, I think dia ingt dia leh lepas kot klau tak ckp tak paham English or Bahasa. The fact is, as with other universities in Malaysia, every foreign student must pass a certain level of IELTS and once in Malaysia, they have to pass the lowest level of Bahasa in their respective universities. So there's NO excuse there, agreed?

Okay la, maybe Bahasa is something they just learn to pass. Cam I belajar Lughotul Arabiah for 5 years la kan hahaha.. ckp sepatah pun tatau! But ENGLISH?!?!?

Sgt tipu kannnn..

Can you believe the cheeks of this guy?

Al Fatihah

Life is fragile.. as I've been reminded this week. As they say, they are 3 things that God 'hides' from you: rezeki, jodoh and ajal. It's, I'd like to think of as, a suprise from Allah to all of us.

Yesterday, our school lost a student, a girl I'm not close to but whom I know as a very nice and friendly girl.I first got to know her on our trip to Sarawak and I regret not making the effort to know her better.

She was on her way to school when she was hit by a speeding car violating the traffic light. That intersection has always been a bit dangerous as cars from the through lanes don't usually like stopping at the red light in front of our campus, but this time, it went too far.

It was clearly her right of way as the light was green but the driver of the other car didn't care.. and as a result, a terrible accident happened which took the life of a kind hearted girl.

Yes, I know.. I'm sure some people would say, "Dah ajal dia!", I get it already okay. ALL OF US get it. ALL OF US understand it was her time and frankly I'm getting sick of people saying that all the time. Sy faham, bende tu dah tertulis okay but don't you guys get frustrated at things like that too.. saying that doesn't help much.

The thing is, it happened without a fault of hers. She was abiding the law while the person who had no respect to our law got away. I'm pretty sure at HIS country, they had the same law, so no excuse there!

I wonder how he got his international driving license?!?!

Most of us were mad, a bit justified I think since the person who hit her has been driving like a drunkard RIGHT IN OUR CAMPUS so most of us know how terrible a driver he is. But her mother came and the first thing she said to Prof Khairun was, "Mak Cik redha.."

Mind you, Falah is her only daughter and she just lost her husband around a year ago.

Yes, I'm sure some people would like to say, "Dah ajal dia.." But please hold your horses and DO NOT PUT THAT IN MY COMMENTS!

She was a nice girl and no one could've forseen what would happen. Sometimes, we're the ones who're careful, but others might not be so. We'll never know when or where our time is but we can only hope that when the time comes, we're ready to meet our Maker without any shame.

Al Fatihah to Fadilah a.k.a Falah. May she be among the blessed.

Aminn..

Another birthday in PPKA ~ Kak Iyra

Wahh.. another birthday in school.. kali ni kak Iyra pulak!

I've known her for almost 8 years now eversince I was in my final year. Me, kak Wahid and Arif would go cycling every afternoon, then we'd go buy food at her stall while chatting with her and her husband, abg Abby. Now she's working in my school so I get to see her every working day ☺

Tatau la brape umo kak Iyra ni haha.. and even if I ask, not gonna put it here right?

Anyway, last school holiday, I found out she was Ina's (Sarina Md Bashah) cousin-in-law. Hahah, and to think that I had to give her a white lie coz I REALLY had to go to Ina's kenduri thus miss this workshop. I told kak Iyra, 'Ade kenduri sedare kt BM'.. and to my suprise, the actual sedare of Ina was kak Iyra.. adoihh, kantoi!

Anyway, wishing a very happy birthday to kak Iyra ☺☻☺

Nape Good Girl ye? Heheheh.. tu rahsia kak Iyra and Ina je.. sy pun tatau!

And leftover telah diletakkan my signature yg my student tau sgt. Even if I give this to them anonymously, diorg musti tau sape hehe..

Yg nak tergelak tu, if I don't pun this in their book after marking, siap ade yg claim balik takde smiley haha.. and ade jugak yg dah form 5 pun tak gaduh sape nye smiley lagi byk.. aiiii la, mane la sy tak sayang budak² ni ☺

PPKA Family Day 2010

So finally, I decided to get over with this entry haha..

A few Saturdays ago (Why can't I remember the date ahh?), we had a Family Day for the PPKA family.. okay, why that ayat sgt skema?!?!

This was actually the FIRST time I EVER participated in this event. From my first year right through my third and final year, sy tidak join! During my one year 'stint' as an RO pun, I tak join. My few years during masters pun I tak join and my first year doing PhD pun I tak join.. so why now?

Ntah, sy pun tatau. I did buy the ticket but never planned to go until Dayah told me they wanted to go check it out. Then, remembering that I no longer have noon classes on Saturdays, I thought, "What the heck?" Beats sleeping in (opsss) anyway..

..and suprisingly, I enjoyed every bit of it! Well, excluding a few things la, of course..

The day started with us lining up. Terase sedikit kebudakan di mase ini and was wondering, "I ditched my sleep-in for THIS?" Mau pulak the staff sumer were hanging around under the canopy.. *tetibe tak puas hati.. y?*

Then the current dean, Prof Hamidi gave the opening speech, VERY informal one at that ☺

..while mate semua org memerhatikan adiah² ini. Wondering which one will we win la kot!

Dan acara yg dinanti², senamrobik pagi bersama.. PM Dr Fauziah! Sgt fun hehe.. gelak tak berenti wpun gambo ini dikatekan latihan tarian Sumazau.

After that we had our breakfast sponsored by one of the cafes and everyone geared up for the games. Berikut ialah beberape gambo random diambil oleh the school camera dr pelbagai photographers. As seen earlier, the postgraduates were recognizable by our purple t-shirts. The Reds dipegang oleh 2nd year..

While the Greens were from 3rd year.

1st years were told to wear white, final year blue (?) while the staff wore their black staff t-shirts as seen on Dr Hamidi earlier in this entry. Then, the games started..

1st was Tiup Tepung for Gula². And here's Ramadhan doing his stuff for our team.

2nd one was Bawak Air Using Sponge Masuk Dlm Bottle. I actually entered this one haha.. tak sangke plak rase nak main but here's kak Win mewakili staff.

Then while these games were happening, the Futsal with Kain Pelikat Tournament was held at the adjecent field. The postgrad team cam takde gambo je but here's the staff team with (Clockwise from left standing) Zaini, Sham, Dr Hamidi, Zabidi, technician-baru-tatau-name, Fared and abg Mie

And then I suprisingly volunteered for another game haha.. the Pancing Bottle game. Kene gelak with Sha sbb, "Tadi bkn kak Ayu kate tanak main dah ke?" Here's Sha btw.. we got 2nd tauuuu! ☺☻☺

After that was the Sack Race. Now, it must be highlighted here, we postgrads didn't mind losing to the undergrads, but it was the staff that we couldn't lose to.. and the feelings went vice versa! Hahah, you should've seen Dr Hamidi taunting us. DR HAMIDI!! Who would've known he was so much fun hahah.. during the Sponge race, he actually took both our bottles while putting our team down hahah.. serious tak sangka he was THAT sporting! So here's a tribute to him.. in a sack! They won here..

The next one was the Tempurung Race. Here's Shahril giving pointers to Dr Choong on how to win the race, which the staff sadly lost after their tempurung broke.. yeayyy! But they would've lost anyway sbb despite the pointers, Dr Choong sgt la bersopan santun dan berbudi bahasa with the tempurung. He was the first and by the time he reached the end of his turn, everyone else was on their third run. And there was Dr Hamidi bising² on the injustice of it while kak Sue and kak Iera menyokong dari belakang haha..

Then we had the Bowling Kelapa which bought bruises to my legs. I think we won this when compared to the staff hehe.. and here's Dr Azlin in his turn at it!

The highlight of it was of course the Tarik Tali. We, ehem², WON of course, with Zabidi and Zaini saying it wasn't fair since we had so many big foreigners on our team haha.. This is supposedly the postgrad team which I'm pretty sure only 2 played, the other 2 tu posing je lebey..

..and this is the Staff team. Berusaha sungguh² wpun kalah heheheh..

All in all, it was actually fun! I never thought I'd enjoy the day, even though I'm 'tanned' till today. We took pictures just to show that we got more hampers than the staff (Huduh tul la perangai bdk² postgrad nihhh!)

Not sure it I'd do it again.. but hey, maybe I would! ☺☻☺

Birthday kak Jah and Hurman

Uishhh.. berabuk sungguh blog sy ini..

Actually, due to a 'penyakit' I'm having right now, I haven't quite been myself. Thus, I keep composing entries in my head but once in front of the pc, everything goes 'blink' (Okay, not a dramatic sound effect I was hoping for!) Ishhh, makin teruk penyakit sy nihhhh..

I've got a few entries in line. My cookies class with Ila and the Family Day for our school which I didn't expect to enjoy (wpun petang tu diserang kembali penyakit kemurungan.. huh!). I've got the pictues and all, tp pemalas nye Ya Rabbi (bkn Ya Rabbi yg pemalas ye.. it ME!)

Nanti la kot.. bile la nak rajin! NNt dah basi baru nak buat entry ke sy ni?

Anyway, today is Hurman's birthday and smlm was kak Jah's. Both are staff of our school and to celebrate their birthday, as well as to experiment with the piping jelly I've been meaning to try for ages, I made this.. tadaaa!

Ye.. boring kot.. and a bit mengulang idea with the grass and stuff. Didn't turn out as I was hoping *kuciwaaa*. The piping jelly was something 'uncontrollable'. Tatau la if its like that or sbb sy yg tak pandai nak gune. A bit lawak though coz I didn't have time to ponder on the designs (as I usually do with butter cream and fondants) sbbnye the jelly just dripped, sy tak boleh nak control haha..

Takpe, experience kaaaannn..

And to kak Jah & Hurman.. eppy besday!

Hari ni sy raye!! ☺

Akhirnye, setelah berbulan mencube, sy sudah raye hari ni.. yeay! Hahah..

I know, a bit lembap this year.. but at least I finished before the new year right. Both new years pulak tu, with 1 Muharram tomorrow and 1st January in a few more days. So of course I'm happy! And what a better time than now since I've been having a terrible week.

Started with a spliting headache that refused to go away. Then on Saturday, it went away just enough for the 'bomb' to be dropped on me but at least I managed to forget it during Ina's kenduri (OoooOOoo, haven't update on that yet right.. great day for her and I'm happy for her). Then turned out I had tonsilitis (the actual reason for the headace and fever, me thinks!) and had to eat these sgt smelly meds.. yuck! Still taking them btw.. ughhh..

But today, for my raya, I was pleasantly suprised when my students were genuinely concerned on my throat haha.. They had known about my condition when I wasn't as talkative nor loud in class as usual. Most of the girls suggested tips they learnt on the internet like eating ice-cream and such. Munirah even suggested I just go with surgery to take them out.. erkkk!

Still, I was touched! Thanx guys!

So I'm dreaming of a choc chip pie I saw in Pt Buntar the other day to celebrate my raya.. aci kah? Looked yummy!

P/S
Another 'raya' update that is not-so-raya-like: Me and Farah were at the musolla for Zohor prayers when kak Sue and kak Ira came in. Kak Ira has been worried seeing my eyes swollen so much since the past days (and she's making me worried jugak since I remember its like a sign of kidney problem or something). She thinks I've been crying too much hahah..

Anyway, as usual, after solat I'd do a bit of a wirid and doa so while sy sedang berdoa dengan penuh khusyuk dan tawadhuk (nmpk sgt la tipu kan!), I heard her commenting to kak Sue (See! Khusyuk kunun!) about my swollen eyes and of her suspiscion that I've been crying a lot. Then kak Sue being kak Sue dengan sengajenye raised her voice and said, "Alaaa, tu kan dia tengah doa tu.. Ya Allah Ya Tuhanku, ringan kan la jodoh aku.." Bla.. blaa.. blaaa..

I was in the midst of my doa and I burst out laughing out loud. Hampeh kak Sue.. she was already shrieking by then, knowing yg dia dah berjaya tumbuh tanduk dan menggangu org yg sedang berdoa hahah.. and when I looked at her, she had the cheeks to flash the peace sign to me! Ceh! Hahaha..

No wonder I love our kakaks in the office haha..

AIGP.. or KKU to us old-timers

KKU stand for Khemah Kerja Ukur, something our school has made compulsory for all 2nd year students (during my time, it was for 1st years ~~ 'During my time'?!!? Aiyak, I feel so old la plak using that expression!). Now it uses an English name la pulak.. Annual I-dont-know Geomatics Programme something like that laa..

The few days before, we had to check the tools we were gonna take along.. sgt byk ok! The usually empty-looking geomatics lab seemed a bit 'messy' to our eyes then. Zabidi and Azam ngan bagusnye menyusun all the tools 2 days before and the day before pulak, me, Azam and Zulham helped him with the minor but many adjustments.

So that was where I was for the past week. Now safely back in USM though berbelang like a Zebra.. and tho I might moan and whine a lot in this entry, I actually had fun ☺

We went there on Friday morning, 3 buses from here and Zabidi asked us to get on one bus each (there were 3 GAs) but of course la kitorg tak mauuuu :D Me and Azim dengan degilnye naik bas yg same hehe..

The trip took around 3 hours since we weren't using the highway and sgt malu when midway, my bladder suddenly buat hal. At first I ignored it and tried to sleep, but after half an hour, tak boleh tahan laaa.. and dgn malunye mntk pakcik bus driver to stop at the nearest musolla or masjid. The driver wanted to stop at any petrol kiosk since he thought it would be more comfortable but then the seconmd driver mengomen, "Dah macam ayam nak bertelur dah adik ni.. berenti je kat masjid mane²"

Malu, okay!

Mau pulak the students sumer crane their necks nak tgk SAPE penyebab bus kene berenti.. and the USM bus behind us pun benti la jugak kann. Tahan la telinge dengar the driver of that bus tanye me, "Lega dah?"

Adoi laaa...

We arrived at Rindu Alam Motel around 12.00pm and proceeded to help with keeping all the tools in the 'bilik alat' (as we called a perfectly nice bedroom!)

After that we were given rooms to our respective rooms. When Zabidi gave me this piece of wood, I thought he was joking. I didn't realize how TINY our key was.. Membuat sy meragui keselamatan bilik kami ye!

That afternoon, it was raining so we had some briefing in the hall before retiring to our rooms and getting ready for dinner and the next briefing.. briefing aje kan!

The next day, I woke up early and skipped my usual nap after Subuh (Oppsss..) to get ready to go around the students' 15 work stations. I wore my sneakers and walked out while waiting for Azim to get ready, all the while wondering WHY was it that my usually 'loose' sneakers were quite comfortably snug.. but only on my right foot. I had a real fright when I realized a BIG, BLACK FROG had decided my right sneaker was a great place to spend the night.. ughhh!

Okay, maybe I exagerrated on the BIG part, maybe it was only medium sized, around the size of my fist.. but WHAT THE HELL WAS IT DOING IN MY SHOE? Huwaaaaaaaa.. sib baik la pakai socks or I would've scrubbed my foot dah lepas tu. 2 students became my knights in shining armour (one of them is someone both me and Azim agree to call 'budak ensem tu' hahaha.. Oppsss!) by shooing the 'thing' away.. though pastu I had to endure them shouting 'KATAK' at me everyday.. cisss!!

Still felt a bit geli-geleman when I remember it haha..

Anyway, our daily routine was mostly the same everyday. Breakfast at 7.30am then off to the 15 workstations were we usually did 2 rounds in the morning before doing our unofficial duty as the 'food patrol' in the dining hall. Then off for Zohor prayers and some quick rest before resuming our rounds and enjoying it since the sites were beside the sea and the afternoon breeze was such a welcomed friend! Around 5.30pm we'd go back fopr Asar prayers and usually stayed put in our rooms till Maghrib and dinner. At night we'd have sessions in the hall with the students and after supper, we'd go back to bed.

I forgot to take picture of the students at work. My favourite workstation was at this 'haunted house'.. not haunted la kot, but empty. Still, we called it the haunted house and there were so many mosquitoes around that the boys (fair skinned Chinese all of them) all got red in face haha.. cian diorg! Always mengadu whenever we go to their workstation.

Another favourite one was the school since it had small huts where we could sit around hehe..

My favourite time of the day plak was of course when we ended our rounds and were back in our rooms.. but it wasn't because I hated the work tau! Our chalet was adjescent to these group of Chinese male students and what we most look forward to is because these boys really love to come back and shout, "Sayaaaang, abang dah balik" (in Malay ye.. thats why I find it hilarious!)while acting as if they've just come back from hard work in the fields sambil mengelap² peluh with the small towels they wore around their necks. While some of their friends who came back early would act like 'wives' welcoming their 'husbands' home.. I can't help laughing at them! Hehe..

As for Zabidi and Pojie pulak, I guess THEIR favourite part was when they caught an ikan kerapu and habis la dok tayang at me hahah.. still dunno SAPE actually yg tangkap since both ngaku diorg punye kan but that night we had some very nice fresh ikan kerapu for dinner. I forgot to take the picture before and by the time I remembered, this was what was left..

Ni plak picture of us yg bored while listening to Dr Wan Aminuddin talking in front to the students. Here you can see berbagai gaye duduk from the technicians: abg Nizam, Zabidi, abg Junaidi and Pojie.

Ni plak a fellow GA, Azam..

Me and Azim takde la pulak gambo ye?!?!

Ni plak the students busy doing their work.. tp sbnrnye mlm tu diorg lawan CS sesame sendiri.. Zabidi pun leh tumpang sekaki plak tu..

The day before the last, we had a BBQ so bergotong-royong la menyiapkan bende for that night with some female students. Yg berdiri tu sumer sedang siang the ikan and sotong while yg duduk mengupas bwg..

Why I takde? Heyy, baru lepas contract membasuh ayam okay! :p Kire baik lagi la dari Pojie yg ngaku AJK arang so tak yah tolong memotong. Yg tak tahan tu, bleh la bising kate nak tangkap kerapu lagi mlm tu byk² so bleh tambah utk bakar (ade hati!!). Yg ayat tak leh blah tu is,"Nnt sy tangkap byk nnt, silap² ikan yg dah basuh ni pun kene hantaq balik!"

Cehhh..

Then that night, membakar lah kannn. Those two Chinese students in white tu mmg amik contract membakar la.. sgt rajin diorg!
While kawan² diorg in a dorm we call Satu Malaysia (sbb sumer kaum duk bilik tu ☺) did some entertainment by singing giler punye kuat from their rooms beramai². As for the finale, they nyanyi at the balcony beramai² ala Evita Peron la tu kunun.. tp nyanyi lagu Menara Ilmu (USM official song). Wish I bought my camera for THAT! Sgt bes tgk hehe..

Mlm tu, after some presentations from each group, rasenye sumer tidur ngan sgt nyenyak hehe.. breakfast next morning tu pun brape kerat je yg bgn. And btw, the mak cik masak sgt sedaaaappp!

That morning, all students were asked to clear their workstation from and rubbish they may have made and to throw the wooden pegs they had used. As for me and Azim, we went on a 'donut sedap' mission :p

Around 12.00pm, we were ready to go back to USM. Bags were stacked into the 3 buses and our school's Hilux (ni Azam and Zabidi tgh pakai kasut.. dedicated to Azam who asked, "Kak Ayu tanak amik gambo sy pakai kasut?" Hahaha..)..

..and the students had all sat down in the seats, ready for the journey home. But..

Ya Allah, nasib baik tak gerak lagi! Aci ke, all tools sumer org lupe!

16 Total Stations (Worth RM75 000 each)
20 Theodolites (Worth puluhan ribu jugak)
20 Levelling Tools (Around RM 7 000 each rasenye)
20 sets of tripod
