When The Past Says Hi =)

One of the ups of working at odd hours (read: tak sama ngan org lain) is that I can avoid people if I want. And since that has been the case for the past few years, am glad that my classes are only at night. This way, I can do my chores siang² hari tanpa risau terserempak ngan sesapa..

..or so I thought!

I had a late lunch and decided to do some shopping at Yawata for some groceries. Memang nak amik parcel pun so it was perfect (post office depan tu je pun)

After buying the essential, I was heading to my car when I noticed the akak kuih. I wasn't really hungry tp tatau la nape tergerak hati nak beli jugak kuih. I was busy choosing (a'ah, pilih kuih can be quite a chore :p) when I realized someone standing right beside me. Thinking I was in his way of choosing his own kuih, I stepped aside but he didn't budge. When I glanced toward him, I immediately laughed when I realized it was Bani with his signature grin.

My first thought was, "Bani!!" and my grin was just as wide as his. However, my second one was, "Alamak! Tak sempat nak sorok!"

As I was wracking my brains trying to find an excuse to balik cepat so tak yah nak sembang², he gestured towards a table saying, "Bani tunggu kak Ayu kat situ" without giving me time to think of a not-so-lame excuse. Watching him walk back to his food, I decided to just chit chat for 5 minutes then tell him I had to go err, somewhere(?).

However, my 5 minutes turned into more than 2 hours. I sat down with him around 3pm and by the time we looked at our watches, it was past 5.15pm and still we had more to talk about. Gossip la terutamanya hehe.. Banyaknyaaaaa benda yg jadi since I left ;)

I learnt about his daughter's sickness and how she's coping (siap pujuk budak lagi besar dari dia ckp, "Takpe abang, tak sakit pun.. Jgn nangis tau!") Sblm ni mmg la tau tp through FB je. I wanted to ask tp time tu dia pun tgh sibuk² so baruuuuu skrg la I got to know about it. Then I realized his eldest, Aniq, whom I used to make cupcakes for utk birthdays dia time kecik, is already attending primary school. Macam, "Whaaaattt?! Where did the years go to?!"

I also learnt yg Bani dah tuko ke Pejabat Pengarah instead of our school and that dah ade technician baru dah kt Awam. Yg gossips tu tayah la share sini walaupun bkn org baca my blog pun.. tp bahayaaaaa ngehehehe :p

I realized then how I miss all of them. This group of people yg I considered family once upon a time ago. Yg dulu I met almost everyday. Gang² bersembang, gang² program utk Water Group (ye, atas tu semua org water except me and Bani haha.. Sesat budak HiTEG sorg :p), gang² share rahsia hati sbb kene paksa ngan Yun just sbb dia boring on our journey back to campus pas abis yet another water workshop (ohhhh the horror!) and mcm² lagi lah. These were the people who shared (mostly) laughter and kadang² shared the pain too..

Sebelum balik tu, Bani pesan, "Kak Ayu lepas ni tak payah dah la sorok² lagi dari kitorg tau!" I felt a bit guilty lepas tu sbb just because of a mistake I made, I pushed away these great people in my life.

Am still not brave enough (read: malu la kot) to meet them, but I'm trying. Learning. Growing up. I don't really wanna lose these people who made me smile dulu so here to hoping I'd get over it =)

PPKA Family Day 2010

So finally, I decided to get over with this entry haha..

A few Saturdays ago (Why can't I remember the date ahh?), we had a Family Day for the PPKA family.. okay, why that ayat sgt skema?!?!

This was actually the FIRST time I EVER participated in this event. From my first year right through my third and final year, sy tidak join! During my one year 'stint' as an RO pun, I tak join. My few years during masters pun I tak join and my first year doing PhD pun I tak join.. so why now?

Ntah, sy pun tatau. I did buy the ticket but never planned to go until Dayah told me they wanted to go check it out. Then, remembering that I no longer have noon classes on Saturdays, I thought, "What the heck?" Beats sleeping in (opsss) anyway..

..and suprisingly, I enjoyed every bit of it! Well, excluding a few things la, of course..

The day started with us lining up. Terase sedikit kebudakan di mase ini and was wondering, "I ditched my sleep-in for THIS?" Mau pulak the staff sumer were hanging around under the canopy.. *tetibe tak puas hati.. y?*

Then the current dean, Prof Hamidi gave the opening speech, VERY informal one at that ☺

..while mate semua org memerhatikan adiah² ini. Wondering which one will we win la kot!

Dan acara yg dinanti², senamrobik pagi bersama.. PM Dr Fauziah! Sgt fun hehe.. gelak tak berenti wpun gambo ini dikatekan latihan tarian Sumazau.

After that we had our breakfast sponsored by one of the cafes and everyone geared up for the games. Berikut ialah beberape gambo random diambil oleh the school camera dr pelbagai photographers. As seen earlier, the postgraduates were recognizable by our purple t-shirts. The Reds dipegang oleh 2nd year..

While the Greens were from 3rd year.

1st years were told to wear white, final year blue (?) while the staff wore their black staff t-shirts as seen on Dr Hamidi earlier in this entry. Then, the games started..

1st was Tiup Tepung for Gula². And here's Ramadhan doing his stuff for our team.

2nd one was Bawak Air Using Sponge Masuk Dlm Bottle. I actually entered this one haha.. tak sangke plak rase nak main but here's kak Win mewakili staff.

Then while these games were happening, the Futsal with Kain Pelikat Tournament was held at the adjecent field. The postgrad team cam takde gambo je but here's the staff team with (Clockwise from left standing) Zaini, Sham, Dr Hamidi, Zabidi, technician-baru-tatau-name, Fared and abg Mie

And then I suprisingly volunteered for another game haha.. the Pancing Bottle game. Kene gelak with Sha sbb, "Tadi bkn kak Ayu kate tanak main dah ke?" Here's Sha btw.. we got 2nd tauuuu! ☺☻☺

After that was the Sack Race. Now, it must be highlighted here, we postgrads didn't mind losing to the undergrads, but it was the staff that we couldn't lose to.. and the feelings went vice versa! Hahah, you should've seen Dr Hamidi taunting us. DR HAMIDI!! Who would've known he was so much fun hahah.. during the Sponge race, he actually took both our bottles while putting our team down hahah.. serious tak sangka he was THAT sporting! So here's a tribute to him.. in a sack! They won here..

The next one was the Tempurung Race. Here's Shahril giving pointers to Dr Choong on how to win the race, which the staff sadly lost after their tempurung broke.. yeayyy! But they would've lost anyway sbb despite the pointers, Dr Choong sgt la bersopan santun dan berbudi bahasa with the tempurung. He was the first and by the time he reached the end of his turn, everyone else was on their third run. And there was Dr Hamidi bising² on the injustice of it while kak Sue and kak Iera menyokong dari belakang haha..

Then we had the Bowling Kelapa which bought bruises to my legs. I think we won this when compared to the staff hehe.. and here's Dr Azlin in his turn at it!

The highlight of it was of course the Tarik Tali. We, ehem², WON of course, with Zabidi and Zaini saying it wasn't fair since we had so many big foreigners on our team haha.. This is supposedly the postgrad team which I'm pretty sure only 2 played, the other 2 tu posing je lebey..

..and this is the Staff team. Berusaha sungguh² wpun kalah heheheh..

All in all, it was actually fun! I never thought I'd enjoy the day, even though I'm 'tanned' till today. We took pictures just to show that we got more hampers than the staff (Huduh tul la perangai bdk² postgrad nihhh!)

Not sure it I'd do it again.. but hey, maybe I would! ☺☻☺

Absent Minded.. again!

Here I am in school for another morning. Actually, its quite fun haha.. WHEN I have things to do that I can manage without making a fool outta myself (which fyi, my thesis does to me! Even opening a Word file for my thesis makes me feel stupid haha..)

Sebenaq nya tgh ‘perak buiyyy’ ni <-- lame attempt at ckp Penang hehe.. I just discovered I can publish my blog from my Word file trus dengan satu click sahaje so entry ini adelah experiment ye kot jadik ke tak :D

Anyway, this morning I did a somehow stupid thing la jugak.. uhhh, kesian mereke yg tidak bersalah huhu..

I’ve always thought that I’m a night person. During my MSc writing stage, I could only write in the wee hours of the morning (midnight right to Subuh). I’d only drag myself home at Subuh, perform my solah THEN take my beauty sleep (still 6 hours la jugak so I can’t possibly call it a nap kan?). Tengahari come back to school but just to check if Dr Wan has checked what I had submitted (Yes! It was on a DAILY basis.. sungguh rajin supervisor ku itu hehe..), which he usually has. I’m a bit amazed though, he was the then Dean and VERY busy but still sempat check my thesis.. magic ape tah dia pakai! And its not the sekali-lalu type of checking. He’d notice a missing letter or the slightest misspelt word. Scary!!

I was so into this ‘nite-mode’ thingey that Lie called me Kupu² Malam, oblivious to its meaning. He had actually thought it meant ‘orang yang kuat kerje w/pun di waktu malam’. I was horrified when he called me THAT hahah.. When I asked him if he knew what it meant, pecah perut rase nak gelak hahah.. baper kali dia mntk maaf sbb he thought he had offended me. Ai laaaa, Lie Lieeeeee heheh..

Back to yesterday. I finally finished checking Younes’s thesis around Subuh. I was a bit sleepy then and was only thinking of my bed back home so I quickly emailed Leong and Younes and told them about the file. As I clicked ‘send’, I could imagine my katil and bantal memanggil² so I switched off my pc, went home and performed solah before I just sorta ‘melted’ into my bed J My phone was switched of and I had a blissful 5-hour solid sleep, feeling satisfied that Younes would be able to do his corrections and send his thesis by the time I woke up..

..but was I SO wrong!

I woke up and noticed 16 missed calls from Younes. I also got two text messages. One from Younes and another from Leong asking me to send ‘Chapter 5’. Still groggy from sleep, I replied telling her it was all in one file and I had not separated the files. Then, Younes called me and OMG!

I was cursing myself when I put down the phone. I had actually sent an empty attachment-less email to both of them this morning. And while they tried to contact me to tell me about this, I was sleeping peacefully at home. Kesian Younes, a wasted morning for him just because of my stupid mistake (Ironically, one of the songs I was listening to while correcting his thesis was Gareth Gates Anyone of Us (Stupid Mistake)! Duhhhh..)

Sangat malu huhu..

Apologized again and again to Leong and especially to Younes since he was planning to finish all corrections ASAP as he wanted to go back to Iran also ASAP. Luckily for me, they know how absent minded I am so they understood my honest mistake! Still, sy sgt malu bile ingat balik.. rase mcm manusia yang tak bertanggungjawab langsung.

When I sent the file for the second time (tipu.. the EMAIL ye la second time but the file baru first time la sbb tak attach pagi tadi), I made sure I had attached the correct file!

*Sheesh* When weill I grow outta this clumsiness pun tatau!

Transport Modelling Workshop

I've actually forgotten about this workshop, due to the excitement of waiting for the bowling tournament. But yesterday, I found this photo in Dr Wan's FB hehe..

We took this picture right after the workshop. Well, I won't say its a workshop, more like a few people 'advertising' their software for use in transport modelling. Some softwares were quite interesting due to its ability to project the outcome in a 3D video form. Almost 'nganga' la watching those haha.. and quite impressed to since the desicion makers ni kan not all from the engineering side so usually when we want to present anything, you could almost see them in their blur trance-like state, pretending to understand what we were trying to tell them. When we have these 3D videos as an alternative to portray the outcome, klau diorg tu tak paham gak lagik, tatau la kaaannn..

There were also the usual lullaby-like presentations that would have lulled us to sleep if not because we kept having ideas on what to whisper about haha.. though a pak cik in front of me actually dozed off.

All in all, okay la kot. All softwares boast on GIS intergration and one new software caught my attention as it can do analysis on motorcycles (which have usually been cast-off in the analysis). I immediately thought of Leong as she's the motorcycle expert in our school and I'd certainly love to learn to use it one day. Its been quite a hassle la jugak kan using softwares that disregard the number of motorcycles on roads when Malaysia punye motorcycles are almost 40% of the total vehicles on road. I hope we'd buy that software though :)

Anyway, in regards of teachers day, in the above photo is one of my mentors, Dr Wan Hashim Wan Ibrahim. He was my (and Un's) PA during our undergraduate studies and we always found way to NOT see him haha.. student² yg ampeh!

Even during my M.Sc, when he was my SV, I avoided him. He was the cause of many tears during my writing period and he once told me I had the worst English he had ever seen *sedey*

But thanx to him, I 'created' history by having a 30-minute only viva! Yeay! Much to the disbelief of my friend who just had a 3-hour viva the month before. I guess the tear were worth it so..

Anyway, this is the entry thats late 2 weeks hehe.. not that I didn't have time to update, but since I don't own the pictures la kan :p

We went for this site visit on the 8th of April 2009 and mostly were postgraduates and ROs. Leong was the only lecturer who went with us, thus making her the 'guru pengiring' after we realized NO LECTURER was assigned to be our chaperone.. sabo je lah!

Since most of us were from different branches of Civil Engineering, we didn't quite know what to expect and whether the trip was relevant or not in our field. I guess the real reason most of us went was because we were kinda sick of our research (hahah..) and wanted to do something different for a change.

Anyway, since I suck in explaining the technical stuff, I guess we'll just look at some pictures huh.. they tell a thousand words they say (And they save me from saying anything stupid haha..)

So here goes..

We went by the USM bus and arrived at the site near Bukit Merah around 9.30am. This sign greeted us..

Then we were ushered into this room in the site office for some briefing. Bleh tak budak² USM ni sempat je bergambo dlm bilik tu. Kelihatan senyuman lebo dari Fahmi and Dayah sementara waiting for the person-in-charge to start..

Actually byk lagi gambo during this briefing tp sy malas nak kecikkan semua.

Then here's us during the tea break after the briefing. Sy sgt berkenan melihat karipap pusing dan hampir tamak mengambil 2 bijik. Sib baik tak amik.. masin! Dan lihat lah budak² USM ni, sempat lagi posing dlm make-shift bilik jamuan itu.. tsk.. tsk..

During the bus ride, me, kak Win and Leong talked about our Latihan Industri (LI) being the first and last time any of us experienced anything on an actual construction site. We all remembered that the white safety helmets were usually for the engineers while the yellow ones were for the workers.. usually la! At that site, the workers were wearing white one.. adehhh!

But then we got a nice suprise.. ape ye? Jeng.. jengg..

Then we went to visit the site for the marine viaduct. Kene panjat² wooo.. with the sun right up on our heads. Some of us weren't from civil engineering during the degree years so diorg ni mcm cacing kepanasan jek jadi nye hehe.. sian! Tp kat sini pun sempat gak nmpk kamera heheh.. dlm dok panas tuuu..

Waaaaaaaaa.. terase sungguh kerdil kan? W/pun sy sedo sy tak la setinggi mane.. tp banding ngan bendealah utk piling ni, rase cam ketot semacam jek..

Ni plak signs on site.. hehe, tatau nape Hasrul amik tp sy pun nak letak kat sini gak :p

Then off we went to the other site near Simpang Lima. Naik bas lagi.. sib baik ade aircon after the heat of the day kat luar tu kan..

Nmpk tak memasing merewang kat atas ni. This is actually the base for the 'landasan' so it should be able to hold both approaches for the tracks. About 12 meters wide and 20km in length kot if I'm not mistaken and the piling was done around 40~60m deep sbb sini tanah sgt la lembut. The type yg suke lecak after rain kan.. so no wonder la. But 40~60m?!?! Giler dalam!!! I'm not from Geotechnical engineering, tp Pn Mas, bukankah itu sgt dalam?

Ade la jugak byk gambo taken while the briefing was done but I'll just put the final group photo di kale memasing sedang tahan panas hehe..

..and sekali lagik, budak USM mmg suke bergambo kannn hehe! :p (Salleh, Leong, kak Win and me)

Haaa.. kat sini pun kene panjat² gak but not as high as at the marine viaduct la.. and actually, under the 'landasan' here were workers taking naps hehe.. tp sejuk je pun bwh tu :p

Rabu lepas, umur sy telah meningkat ke angke 29 16 tahun hehe.. dan pade hari yg same, beberape org yang penting dlm hidup sy pun mengalami sesuatu yg happy juge :)

Konvo USM ke berape tah?. Ini tahun kedua USM mengadekan konvo semase bulan March dan sy suke konvo bulan March sbb tak ramai orang :) Tp sy jugak nyesal, nape la sy tak daftar PhD awal, pastu bleh habis awal n konvo hari itu juge? Haisshh, rase rugi..

Apepun, ini big day mereke! So mari tepuk tangan untuk mereke..

1st sekali ialah salah seorang 'adik' sy di sini, Salimin. Mase birthday sy last year, dia la teman kan sy ke Kulim utk borong nasik ayam Periuk Besar untuk di jamu pade kawan². Tahun ni plak, sy yg raikan dia konvo untuk MSc dia hehe..

..iyer, sy sedar! Sy pendek.. tp ni bukan salah sy sbb dia memang tinggi pun :p

Yang kedua pulak sorang 'kakak' sy di sini.. kak Chah! Dia senior sy di Awam ini dan akhirnye dia grad setelah mengalami ujian yg banyak sepanjang MSc dia.. tp tak heran la jugak, dia buat part time je pun.. dan kami semua gembire utk dia!

P/S Kak Chah ni sgt tinggi tau, tp sy nmpk cam dekat same tinggi ngan dia kan? Heheh, sbb sy ngelat berdiri atas tanah yg tinggi sikit :D Adyani plak nmpk pendek heheheheh (Ohhh Adyani, kak Ayu mu sungguh jahat hehe..)

Yang ketige pun 'kakak' sy merangkap 'sepupu' ipar sy.. kak Maria. Kak Maria ni wife Yokies dan jugak kawan sebatch sy di USM dan di school Awam.

Yang kat sebelah tu ayah dia.. gambo kitorg yg kunun posing tak jadik sbb tak tgk camera so buh gambo ni je la ek :p

Aik.. ni sape plak? Takde pakai jubah Msc mahupun PhD!

Hehe, ini la 'adik' sy sorang lagi kat sini, Aje! Bakal grad tahun depan, InsyaAllah ek Aje :) Sy pegi konvo bawak adiah konvo utk org, pastu dpt adiah besday dari dia plak hehe.. thanx Aje! Akak doakan Aje leh konvo, tak bulan August ni, bulan March tahun depan tau :)

Ape daaaa..

Petang tadi ade postgraduate seminar (name tak glamer nye: seminar berterusan). Semua budak postgrad kene turun. Sebetulnye, sy dah lupe tentang seminar ini.. serius! Tapi sedang sy duduk dengan perasan ayu nye di dalam kiub, terlihat kelibat Pak Adi, Ad dan Bashir tersengih² lalu di tepi kiub sy. Bile sy angkat muke (spt ape yg selalu dilakukan tatkale sesiape masuk/kuar pintu itu), Ad dengan besnye ckp, "Kitorang nak gi present dah ni!"

Adeh.. lupe plak.. nape la si Ad ni ingatkan sy..

Sampai je bawah, nampak Puga melambai², maka sy dan Yee pun duk kat ngan Puga. Di situlah ternampak betape muhibbahnye kami, 3 bangsa terbesar di Malaysia berkongsi satu row meje (Poyo!) hehe..

Presenter pertame: Pak Adi

Verdict: Bosan! Huhu.. tp bukan bosan sbb dia tak pandai present, dia present sgt bagus.. tp sy tak paham ape dia present sbb dia budak structure.. dan sy tak suke structure. Bukan salah pak Adi. Q&A dia pun tak bes sbb org yg paling byk tanye soklan tu org yg sy tak suke. Sesuke hati je sy nak tak suke kat org kan..

Mase ni, Yee kluar nak kol IPS and sy dan Puga lari duk belakang hehe..

Presenter kedua: Ad.. yang ditunggu²

Verdict: Bosan jugak haha.. juge bukan salah Ad. Sbbnye Ad plak budak environment, iaitu sesuatu yang bergelumang dengan chemistry. Sy dari dulu tak suke berkawan ngan unsur² kimia ini dan boleh tak, sy tanye kat Kut, ape itu O3? Sy lupe, bende tu ialah ozon huhu..

So ape yg sy dan Kut buat?

Bagus kan hehe..

Mlm tadi plak semangat berkobar² nak stay up buat draft for questionnaire untuk research sy. Beli Nescafe siap² dah ni and dah print out bende² yang sy nak rujuk. Mmg rancangannye ialah untuk dtg school trus lepas kelas sy di Parit Buntar.

Tp sampai kat simpang Tmn Pekaka, tetibe tinginkan sesuatu yang dah bertahun tak makan..

Prof Talk

Today we had the Prof Talk by Dr Midi and Dr Farhan.. Oppss, Prof Hamidi and Prof Farhan hehe..


Actually, its the first time I ever went to listen to this kind of talk. Our school only recently started to have our share of professors. Starting with Dr Azazi (the Kelantanese English speaking lecturer hehe.. we used to enjoy listening to him talking in English), Dr Amin.. then Dr Midi and a few months after that Dr Farhan. And the recent prof is Dr Meor. My previous supervisor, Dr Wan Hashim, has also received his professorship, though not in USM la since he's not here anymore. But in UniMAS.


Anyway, the talk was ok la.. quite what you'd expect. But I loved the multimedia presentation abg Shidi and his team (I know kak Chah went to take all those pictures and videos with abg Mie kot).


Dr Midi's multimedia presentation prepared by them (Dr Midi wasn't allowed to watch it beforehand, klau tak silap sy!) was very.. I can't really say sad.. but, touching perhaps. He started with very humble beginnings and there were pictures of his childhood.. hehe, chumel la Dr, muke budak² baik heheh.. they showed his house were he grew up in. He was the youngest from 9(?) and his mother couldn't read but she made him believe in the importance of education. He lost his her when he was in form 1.

Patut la kak Jah cakap: Sebak bile tengok Dr Hamid punye history..

Actually, most of us only knew about this sebab kan the professor talk. I dunno about other U's but prof talk ni to me is like a very big deal. Sebab tu la the staff and students in my school bersungguh² tried to make it a success. Every little detail tu dilihat dan diperhati (tak same ke makne 2 perkataan tu?), thats why Dr Midi nye history ni sy baru tau..


Sedih jugak bile tengok but look at him now.. believe it or not, when he wanted to enroll in a university, makne engineering pun dia tatau! But look at him now.. kagum giler sy! He's about to be my newest role model after Dr Farhan hehe..


And suprises of suprises, I actually enjoyed his talk. I always thought of him as bapak². The gentle but strict type.. one you could trust tp nak melawak² ke, sy tak penah berani sgt. Even nak gelak² in front of him pun but his talk was full of jokes (actually, dia ngaja pun ade gak jokes dia la Ayu.. dah lupe ke?) and I found myself laughing along with the others.


Lupe plak: His son made this multimedia presentation (sorry, I dunno what other word to use here.. bukan org IT kaaan hehe..) and Dr Midi inserted it in his presentation.. alahaiii, sweet nye ayah n anak!

Dr Farhan came next. Ni memang betul cakap kak Jah.. sgt beze la Dr Farhan and Dr Midi. Bak kate kak Jah, bende paling susah Dr Farhan pernah kene buat is gi sekola naik beskal.. Dr Midid dulu, umah pun takde elektrik..


Tp Dr Farhan's multimedia presentation by the multimedia team was the best of both hehe.. they did this close up of him in a recent pose.. then moved backward saaaaaaaaaaaampai la ke gambar dia time baby (Kinda like the Benjamin Button case ke ek heheh..) Mase kecik sgt chumel hehe.. time sekola, he had these gigantic glasses style dolu² punye kan.


There was one picture of him mase marching for hari sukan skolah.. it was then revealed that the girl behind him was his dear wife, Dr Azlina (also already a professor.. sy baru tau je tadi.. besnye rezeki diorg kan). And since its known around the campus on how much of a loving couple they are, byk jugak la pictures of them together.. siap one picture tu the team editted so it will be framed in a heart. Mase Dr Azlina was called to give Dr Farhan a bouquet of flowers, sgt sweet tgk Dr Farhan kiss his wife forehead in front of everyone during this supposedly formal event.. besnye! :)


His parents and parents-in-law were present as well as Fawwaz yg macam dah sihat je sy tengok. There were pictures of Fawwaz in the hospital jugak and rasenye semua org sebak tengok dia mase tu. Alhamdulillah la dia dah sihat kan :)


Anyway, nape sy tak tulis pasal the contents of their talk ye?


Hehe, the contents ok la but we've heard them.. it was the history of these two pillars of the school yang sy baru first time dengar and yang menarik perhatian sy :) and even if I've always looked up to them, I know see them in a different light too..

The Long Weekend..

Hi yaaa :)

Hmm.. actually, I'm a bit down here. There are some words that are sorta like ringing in my head, and try as I might, I can't shake them off *sigh*

Well, the new year is just around the corner, so its time to change and be a better person.. Go! Go! Ayu heheh..

Spent half a day with my lil sister and brother. Izati la ajak, nak tengok adik and Annisa was up and ready from early morning upenye. Izati went with Mama while I went there straight from my 'appointment'. Umi had taken the day off and Abah was no where in sight hehe.. so it was just the 6 of us.

Took the lil ones to the playground and it seemed that the two 'older ones' pun jadik budak kecik bile layan diorg nih hehe.. This is Irfan btw, comot giler minum air tumpah², makan fries cicah with the dirty soil at the playground.. euwwww..


Got a picture of Annisa but its in Izati's phone, lupe nak transfer. Then we went to Jusco Bandar Perda. I bought my 'teaching aids' for next years class but I'm not putting them here, just in case my students find my blog again, and know whats in store for them next year hehe..

Anyway, I also bought two books for myself. Goodnight Beautiful and Marshmallows for Breakfast. Both by Dorothy Koomson whom I've grown to like after reading her The Cupid Effect. I dunno bout you guys, but I'll definitely look out for her books from now on hehe.. and yeah, most fo you know, I'm NOT even into chick lits. But then again, sekarang sudah agak suke tengok these kinda books :)

Hmm, I said two books kan tadi? Well, actually the next day, I bought another three :p Truth be told, I almost bought a fourth book, kununnye the autobiography of Cinderella's stepsister (Hey, its interesting.. and I'm sure it'll be funny!) tapi sib baik kesedaran diri telah menjelma. And I also almost bought Stephen King's Rose Madder. I first read the book in form 5, tak silap buku Isyam and have been trying to find the book eversince. And just my luck, I found it when I told my sis to stop me from buying books other than the intended three *sigh lagik*

Well, the intended three are actually a three-in-one set by Cecilia Ahern. Some might not like her books (I vaguely remember someone writing in their blog that PS I Love You had put them to sleep.. sape nye blog eh?) but I kinda like Thanks for The Memories so I decided to buy the set.. which I paid only RM40 something for the whole three books. Ye lar, ONE would cost what? RM35.90.. so untung ape dapat beli 3 at a fraction of the actual price :p


Ermm.. excuse the wrapped gift below haha.. lupe plak it was in the picture :p Anyway, I'm set to go for a few weeks ni.. I mean in the reading department la.. which does not include literature reading for my PhD (Adeh, nape la tak dedicated with PhD like I am with htese books?)

And btw, am expecting three more books from Wanie Books Galore hehe..
